*UPDATE* Man Charged in Dundas West Station Stabbing
Toronto Police have arrested a man in connection to a stabbing that happened at Dundas St West subway station on Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to the subway station at approximately 3:44 p.m. after a 25-year-old man was stabbed several times.
Police say an altercation between the victim and the suspect started on the escalator and continued on the bus platform. That's where police say the suspect pulled a knife out and repeatedly stabbed the victim in the left arm and torso area.
The suspect fled the scene but was arrested a short time later.
The victim was transported to hospital where he was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
21-year-old Jarret Elton Spencer of Toronto has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous and carrying a concealed weapon.
He is scheduled to make a court appearance on Thursday morning.
