Brian Burke Says 'Bye' To Toronto
The Brian Burke era for the Toronto Maple Leafs is officially over.
Fired as a General Manager at the start of January, Burke had assumed a role as Senior Advisor to MLSE's President and Board of Directors.
But it was announced on Thursday that Burke had agreed to join his former employer, the Anaheim Ducks as a part-time pro scout.
That means his time with Toronto is done.
Burke spent 4 years with the Leafs, and during that time, the team failed to make the playoffs once.
Before that, he was the General Manager for Anaheim where he helped guide the franchise to their only Stanley Cup win.
