The Blue Jays walloped the Tigers 10-3 in their Grapefruit League opener.

Lance Zawadzki hit a grand slam in the 6th.  Fellow pinch hitter Ryan Goins added a 3-run shot an inning later.

Things got interesting in the bottom of the 7th as Detroit's Jeff Kobernus' drive to
almost turned into an inside-the-park grand slam.  Toronto's Ryan Langerhans & Mike McCoy collided as they both charged the ball. Langerhans managed to hold onto it.

The Jays sent 8 pitchers to the mound in the warm up game: Brandon Morrow,  Brad Lincoln, Steve Delabar, Esmil Rogers, David Bush, Ramon Ortiz, Neil Wagner & Chad Beck.

The Blue Jays will start regular season play before a sold out crowd at the Rogers Centre April 2nd
