Gas Plant Fireworks Continue
It doesn't seem as though the Premier is going to cast her predecessor aside any time soon when it comes to the cancelled gas plants.
While Kathleen Wynne underlined she was part of the Dalton McGuinty government which made the decisions in Oakville and Mississauga, she regrets they didn't make a better decision on the locations from the start.
Wynne repeated she wants the Liberal government to be transparent about the cancellation process and wants to provide all the information needed during committee hearings into the matter.
The premier has said she would testify at the hearings if asked.
Wynne was Liberal campaign co-chair during the 2011 provincial election, when the party promised to shut down construction of the Mississauga plant was made. She maintains she had nothing to do with the decision.
This comes as tempers flared during question period, when Tory MPP Steve Clark, referred to government house leader John Milloy as a bully.
Clark maintains the Liberals were trying to stop the Tories from pushing the contempt issue but Milloy says they were just giving committee hearing options.
