Wynne Defends Fundraiser

Posted By: Katie Franzios · 2/28/2013 11:01:00 AM

Fundraising is part of the political game.

That's from Kathleen Wynne after it was revealed an invitation for a $5,000 a plate dinner for those in the energy sector was sent out, wit the Premier as its guest of honour.

All funds would go to the Liberal party.

Wynne underlines she meets with people from across the province all the time.

The March 27th event is being held at the Rosewater restaurant in Toronto, with only 22 tickets available. The invitation was sent out by the Ontario Energy Association.

Energy Minister Bob Chiarelli will also be at the fundraiser.

A similar event was held for PC leader Tim Hudak.

So the Star is all in a flap because the Mayor is soliciting donations to a charity - JUST LIKE EVERY CITY WORKER has been doing with all those union sponsored charity drives where they all do fundraising while being paid by the taxpayer to not work. Never mind the fact that the Mayor is complying with the integrity commissioners own requirement that he only solicit these donations on non city letterhead.

But the Star has no concern with this crooked liberal government and their very real conflict of interest?

This crooked premier is soliciting money from these crony capitalists in the green energy scam, who depend completely on government subsidies for their stupid windmills and solar panels.

This is the same crooked government that cancelled a nat gas power plant to win one seat, a plant that was only being built because all this stupid green energy is so unreliable that you have to have a nat gas powerplant sitting on standby 24-7 just so it can keep us from having blackouts when 99 percent of the time the green energy scam is not generating power.

    This premier belongs in prison.

And the publisher of The Star belongs in bankruptcy court - his paper should be driven out of business. They are unethical scumbags.
