Toronto Police are trying to track down a white mini-van taxi that was in the Entertainment District in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

There are allegations the driver sexually assaulted a female passenger.

The alleged victim flagged down a cab outside a night club near Peter and Adelaide Streets at around 3:00am.

Police say the driver drove to an isolated spot near Gerrard Street East and Victoria Park Avenue and sexually assaulted his passenger.

The female fled and called police but the suspect drove away.

Authorities have yet to release the age of the alleged victim and it is not yet known which company the cab may belong to.

Police are looking for the taxi and a male driver, who is described as:

- Brown
- In his late 20's
- 5'11
- Medium build
