Accused subway stabber bail hearing postponed
A man accused of slashing a fellow subway rider in the neck made his second court appearance at College Park on Monday morning.
20-year old Cassim Cummings was remanded into custody until March 12th.
He faces 7 charges, including attempted murder and aggravated assault.
Toronto Police allege Cummings got on to a southbound train at Eglinton Station last Wednesday night and started to harass other passengers.
When a 35-year old man from Barrie stood up to Cummings, authorities say the suspect allegedly stabbed the man.
Cummings was arrested Friday morning.
His mother claims her son suffers from schizophrenia and is bipolar.
Cummings has 19 prior convictions.
