MPP Wants Mall Collapse Answers
The MPP for the Elliot Lake area is counting on answers from the inquiry into last year's mall collapse that killed two women.
NDP MPP Michael Mantha has a list of things that need to be delved into, including finding out who was making decisions, how all emergency resources were being used and why there were more resources made available later on.
Mantha also wants to know if there was something which could have prevented the tragedy.
He underlines he'll make sure Justice Paul Belanger's recommendations are acted upon.
The Algo Centre Mall's roof-top garage caved in on June 23rd, 2012.
The inquiry began Monday and is expected to hear from up to 75 witnesses over the next several months.
Recommendations are expected at the beginning of next year.
