Posted By: Dave Bradley · 3/5/2013 1:42:00 PM

Toronto Police have released the id of the man stabbed to death Monday night in the Eglinton and Dufferin area.

Police haven't made an arrest in the case and are asking witnesses to come forward. Inspector Ken Taylor actually said in a Tuesday press conference, that they have no suspect descriptions or any description of a possible get away car.

20 year old Michael Cocomello, also goes by Michael Mandino, and officers say he was lured out of his mother's home in the area around 9 o'clock on Monday night.

He was stabbed a number of times, and found in the street by his mother.

Inspector Taylor says Cocomello was known to police, his history is 'dated.' Taylor says it would have had nothing to do with this murder.

Cocomello is the city's 10th murder of 2013.

@DelroseS Personally I think it was a set up I was standing there when the young man was on the stretcher and he was moving so i thought he was going to be OK but now I'm scared to even walk on eglington avenue so I think someone called him or he seen someone and then that someone called another person and that's when it must have happened such a shame to lose your life so early.
