Police say they have dismantled one of the largest gaming groups in Canada.

A month ago, on Super Bowl Sunday, police raided a banquet hall in Markham, arresting six people allegedly involved in an illegal gambling ring.

Today, police carried out another 13 searches in Toronto, York region, Barrie and London. Eighteen people were arrested. Police say they also seized guns, a taser, computers, bank statements and documents pointing to organized crime. One fo the groups allegedly involved is the Hell's Angels.

A total of $5.5-million has been seized.

Police say the group was up and running again after the Super Bowl Sunday raid, using a new website, and that helped in the investigation.

"Their migrating to a new site provided key evidence that will support the charges for criminal organization," says RCMP acting superintendent Keith Finn.
