At the end of Thursday, thousands of kids in Durham Region public and Catholic schools are on March break.

The rest of the kids in the GTA officially get out on Friday but there are several who are already on their way out of town, by car, by air, mostly to the southern climates. Florida is a huge stop this time of the year.

Pearson International is ready. Typically on a Thursday and Friday they'd handle 95,000 passengers a day. They expect 8,000 extra before the weekend.
