A Barrie man has been charged in the alleged assault of a 6-month-old baby.

Police say they were called Saturday night to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre after someone reported that a baby girl had been harmed.

They say medical staff confirmed the child was hurt, but haven't released details of her injuries.

A 25-year-old Barrie man is charged with assault causing bodily harm & will remain in custody until his bail hearing.
