Thomson Refuses Lie Detector Test

It doesn't look like Sarah Thomson is going to take a lie detector test, at least not one offered by Newstalk1010.

Jerry Agar offered to pay the 600 dollars for a test for both Thomson and Mayor Rob Ford, to try and get to the bottom of the he said/she said, butt groping allegations.

But Thomson said off-air, that she wants 'nothing to do with him', meaning Jerry Agar.

It was on Friday, that while Thomson was speaking with Newstalk1010's John Tory on the Live Drive, that she pitched the idea of "going down to a police station with Ford and both taking a lie detector test together."

Agar spoke with a lie detector expert, Christopher Dennisen from Canadian Special Investigations, who says people don't just walk into a police station and request a test. That just doesn't happen because the police don't have the resources to do that.

    Never ceases to amaze me how little credibility these public officials have. They scream from the roof top.."I"LL TAKE A LIE DETECTOR TEST" then when given the opportunity they back pedal at light speed.
    Either put up or shut up.

    You make it very difficult for real victims to come forward because of your crying wolf.
    And given your appearance if it did happen he must have also been blind not just drunk.

We the righteous right want to thank you for your recent efforts in the past week and appreciate your rants since it is the first time since Mayor Ford has been elected that we haven't heard a peep from Adam Vaughn and the rest of the Granola Bunch.     If I were Ford, and assuming he's innocent, I'd keep my mouth shut and let thomson continue to dig herself a bigger and bigger hole. I'd also discuss with counsel the issue of suing her for slander.

    If it's determined thomson was lying what are the chances the city's integrity commissioner would act against thomson? I wouldn't hold my breath for that

    I suspect that Jerry Agar may have grabbed Sarah's ass. He MUST submit to the lie detector to clear this up once and for all. The nation's well being is at stake!

    I've been reading about this on twitter and facebook as well as news pages. It never ceases to amaze me how childish people in a leadership position can be. Ms. Thomson's initial posts were something a fourteen year old would wright. When someone is sexually assaulted, which is a very serious charge against Ford, they don't go to the social media. They go to the police. What a fourteen year old trying to get back at someone does is talk about their targets weight, how sweaty they are, how they're "probably on drugs" and how they are a cheat. If my daughter chose to prosecute someone via social media she'd be punished, forced to apologize and lose privileges. What's going to happen to Sarah Thomson who won't take a lie detector test? Is she just going to get away with this or even worse will she be allowed to keep dragging it on as she is? Why is this even still being talked about? Are the two people who overheard her plot not credible?

    Be very careful this woman refused to walk Jerry Agar’s path, and turning this into a headline of Thompson refuses a lie detector test, is the real danger we have in news reporting facing this city. So how does this work? Can I stand up and command Thompson to go for a lie detector for I will pay for it and if she turns me down I report that she has refused a lie detector test? Is that a fair reporting from CFRB? Proton you have been in this city very long and you listened to CFRB as they were calling expatriate after expatriate on proving how Saddam Hussein has the weapons of massive destruction. Remember those days? Do you remember the litany of qualifications after qualifications of whoever they’re going to interview and how he knows how the weapons are in Baghdad, and the sooner we go in the sooner we will find them? Do you remember the times they attacked the federal government for Chretien refused to send our troops to Iraq when all expatriate they have state the weapons exist? What happened when the Americans walked in and found nothing? Did CFRB call these expatriates to re interview them? No we were fade garbage and we were left to choke on it. This is the same thing they have decided to do here, Thompson has not refused to take a lie detector test she has just turned down Jerry Agar’s bullying. And that is the danger we have in today’s reporting man, for the station becomes a part of the story. CFRB became a George Bush White House preacher of weapons of mass destruction as it has become a daily defender of Rob Ford.

    You have been here long enough, start to look through these garbage fade to us as society for trust me Rob Ford is not done yet, even if Thompson is destroyed today, Ford is going to puke in some other quarters it is only when sir. Doesn’t it bother you that CFB has stopped to follow any story for now defending Rob Ford has become their daily job?

    Don’t get sucked into it man think independently.

      Sarah Thompson liked Jerry Agar well enough on Friday to talk to him twice. His offer of paying the $600 fee for a lie detector test that she said she wanted has nothing to do with him. He just offered to pay for it -- not to administer it.

    There is going to be a sexual assault in this city one of those days, and I will use the very same standards you have used on this woman to bully that sexually abused woman. Stand ready to support me. And trust me knowing this city as I have known it , a woman will be molested trust me and we will walk this path again. And yes it is the very same thing with weapons of mass destruction for CFRB only stands to feed what it decides and when it gets wrong, it does not stand to be tested. The issue of Thompson and Ford is only starting trust me and only has to get better, I would be very careful to go after it at this point of time.

    Take Thompson out of the equation, take EM out of the equation, this Mayor is going to find something else to throw at this city. I do not hate this city but it has a very terrible mayor, log on talk radios of other cities of other countries and listen to what Toronto has become. We can do better than this. We simply cannot survive for defending the mayor has become a daily job. We went to sleep that day without knowing about this party, and today it is the only discussion for again the Mayor’s name is in the papers. And do you know why Thompson did not go after EM? For I did not put myself into a position of compromise. And you can name call every one, and yes being abusive has become the norm, for now sexually assaulted women do not have both hands on a deck, but let me tell you my dear friend, it is very rare for any man that has a sexual assault intention to make one mistake. It is very rare for a man to learn to control alcohol in one day. Mayor Ford is going to find another woman without both hands on the deck, at minimum experience has educated us so. As I have stated before, where this issue is, I would keep my mouth shut for it has nowhere to go but worse. Let us remember that this is the Mayor that said courts in this city are left wingers and CFRB praised that comment, he came back and said he trusts the courts, CFRB praised it, now Thompson does not have both hands on the deck. A civil man does not flip flop to that level.

    Why am I not abusive to you sir? For my argument can stand on its own merit we are tired of this man’s daily circus, Toronto can honestly do better than this.

      I not a huge fan of Ford by any stretch of the imagination, but I find myself questioning Ms. Thompsons story.

      As you mentioned in your post, it's uncommon for a man who assaults women in this way to only make 'one mistake'. Rob Ford has been in public life for many years, and received more scutiny from the local media and his detractors than any politician that I can think of. Don't you find it odd that there's never been even a hint of this kind of behaviour from Ford before, let alone any other allegations from other women? Given the media attention that this has garnered, I would expect that if he had a pattern of behaviour like this there would be others coming forward to back up Thompson if he'd done this before.

      Ms. Thompson alleges that Rob Ford was very "out of it", even going so far to speculate that he was on cocaine, yet nobody else has come forward to say that yes, he seemed off that night?

      The only people that know for sure what happened are Ford and Thompson, but her story doesn't ring true to me.

    I am not bothered by Mayor Ford’s political affiliation, and to tell you the truth he has not done anything that worries me for all I care politicians behave the same way, thus the election apathy. And I can see sermons of he privatized the garbage in half the city, yes that was important but how many people did he actually fire? On top of a new company that collects the garbage we still pay for the workers that were picking it up. So Jerry Agar praises the saving for he is selling the privatization, he does not tell you that under Ford you’re actually paying double. The collection of the garbage and the workers that used to collect it who are still employed by the city. Now I know people in the city, go in and find out what these guys do to be paid. So my stand is not based on who Ford is for I never expected anything different any ways we are always victims and will remain so until when we get involved. Many of these people get elected for their names look familiar, go figure.

    But to directly respond to you, if you follow sexual assault cases all over the place, it is very tough to accuse a rich and powerful man in this city of such a crime, and why? For every one jumps to his defense. Go back in Hockey and visit the Maple Leaf Garden nightmare, are you telling me that no one knew that we had a sexual molester in the Gardens? Nonsense we knew it but you would not dare stand up and say it. Kids told their friends, kids told their parents, kids told their trusted people, but we have built a society that a story to be believed it has to be believed by the press first. If the press believe it then it will be believed by the press, and the press to believe it you must be ready to put your nakedness on the floor. I raise the issue of Children Aid Society, how many families have been hurt by that organization in this city? How many children have been literary driven to crime by this organization in this city? How many graves do we have in this city when you look at the shooter or the victim CAS pops up? Do you think facts are not out there? Do you think no one knows these things? But you will never find a reporter to write that information without a fear of their jobs for going after CAS can easily mean you’re losing a God damn job.

    The moment reporters protect their jobs before stating the facts, do not be surprised that there is no report about Rob Ford and women sexual abuse. I have followed sexual abuse many years, and women can cry wolf, but in all years I have worked with abused women I have never seen a woman going into such details as Thomson when she is creating all these things out of the sheer sky. This woman is talking too much and so much detail to create all of it. She handled it wrongly, she should have not gone to Facebook, she should have not done interviews, she should have walked to a police station and made a report, all that is true, But hate of Rob Ford does not push a woman to take such a stand. Something you and I do not know happened between them and Thompson was not comfortable about it, thus to speak about it. And that is a fact good as a Canadian dollar. If this happened to a man on Sherburne Street the entire Police would have been all over him and an arrest warrant would have been issued already, but this being powerful man and a rich powerful man it takes several victims to come across. Sarah Thomson has raised this issue and she is being burnt alive, one hopes she gets the strength to go to a Police Station and make an official report, but on the beating CFRB has decided to take on her, one wonders if she will be that strong, which leaves only one option, Rob Ford is going to do it again or someone he did it to will stand up, but trust me on the long history I have followed sexual assault in this city, the name of Rob Ford is going to come back and it will be accompanied with a sexual assault claim. Women do not go to bed to dream concocting these charges sir.

    And when talking about it be very careful for they are not only very abusive but they threaten too.

    Do you remember the discussion we had on drugs and crime in this city? I decided for the first time to raise the issue of retired officers that are feeding this monster, and I was so attacked as a black stupid man, that hates the entire Police and my God you hate retired officers and you hate this country, you hate the city and you must leave and go back to wherever you came from. Remember that exchange? Now listen to the news tonight and see how much firepower this retired RCMP was holding in the house. A retired RCMP with already a denial to hold a single weapon for he was already convicted on a weapon charge. Proton Why was I the first person to ever state that we have a problem with retired officers? Well I have not heard it from any one all I hear is that black kids are selling drugs and they are shooting each other, I have not heard anyone ever stating that we have a very serious problem with retired officers. This punk had a canon in his house too. Now has he been arming TCHC? Just asking. May be sending me where ever I came from is not the solution to the drug problem in the city, may be it is facing it and going after its roots for the roots of crime and drugs is not black kids but whites. Is this news to the press too as Rob Ford’s behavior? Then may be what we actually need is the new press, may be the press we have is way useless !!!!!!!!!

      @EM A better question is why Sarah Thompson pulled this stunt and why you are so ready to deem Rob Ford a sexual abuser and why have you followers sexual abuse for many years as you stated.
      As for the retire RCMP officer and the weapons he was holding I think that was Rob Ford's fault too.
