Toronto Police are investigating after a body was found floating in Lake Ontario near Bathurst and Queen's Quay.

Two people walking alongside of the lake, spotted the body around 11:45 on Monday morning floating in the water.

The body was recovered by Toronto Police and officers are now working on identifying the victim.

Constable Victor Kwong with Toronto Police says it's still too early to determine a cause of death.

He also couldn't say if the body had been in the water for a long period of time.
