Tories Want To Cancel OLG Expansion Plans
The Tories want to shelve the OLG expansion plan which includes online gaming and the possibility of a Toronto casino.
Leader Tim Hudak released a white paper on rural issues at Queen's Park, outlining ideas he wants to put in place if he was premier.
Hudak says if gaming in the province does grow, it should be built off of what is already in existing communities. He points to his party's idea to allow racetrack operators to buy slots operations.
He underlines the province needs to get out of the gaming business and just be a regulator.
Hudak says he doesn't think opening 29 new casinos will be a major boost to local economies and job creation.
