2 women are dead after a smash-up in Port Hope.

OPP say a car & truck collided at County Rd 28 & Ganaraska Road Thursday afternoon.

Police haven't say how the crash happened, only that the car was headed west & the truck north. It isn't clear which vehicle the victims were in or if there are any other people hurt.

The following roads will be closed for several hours as police investigate:

Northbound County Rd 28 at 7th line
Southbound County Rd 28 at Boundary Rd
Westbound County Rd 9 at Main St, Bewdley Hamilton Township
Eastbound County Rd 9 at Woodvale School Rd
