Virtue & Moir take silver at World Figure Skating Championships
Disappointment for Canada's darlings at the World Figure Skating Championships.
Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir have fallen short in their quest for a 2nd consecutive world ice dance title.
The Olympic gold medallists brought the hometown crowd to its feet with their near-flawless sultry "Carmen" program.
But the 3-point deficit they took into Saturday's free dance after a shaky short program 2 nights earlier was too much to make up.
Virtue & Moir took silve. Meryl Davis & Charlie White of the US nabbed gold.
