As many as 500, 000 people decked out in green wigs, face paint & shamrock necklaces Sunday afternoon for Toronto's annual St. Patrick's Day Parade.

The 26th edition featured over 70 bands, floats & marching groups. The parade's theme was "The Gathering".

Brian Farmer of the Canadian Gaelic Athletic Association acted as Grand Marshal. Toronto Mayor Rob Ford took part, wearing his green & gold Don Boscoe varsity jacket.

The littlest parade goers tell Newstalk 1010's James Moore they loved the Irish dancing & music.
