A Mississauga man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed outside the IMAX Theatre near Square One in Mississauga.

Police say the incident happened just after 6 p.m Monday evening.

Paramedics tell News Talk 1010 the victim suffered multiple stab wounds to his upper body and that the man's injuries are considered to be serious.

He was not rushed to a trauma centre, and officials say the man is now listed in stable condition.

One other male with head injuries was treated at the scene.

Peel Constable Thomas Rattan says it appears two groups of youths began a fight outside the theatre.

Police have nothing on a suspect at this time, but investigators are on scene.
