Toronto police have released a composite sketch of a suspect being sought related to a sexual assault.
Police have been looking for the suspect after an 8-year-old girl was sexually assaulted while walking to school Monday morning.
The grade 3 student was walking by herself in a residential area near York Mills and Leslie when she was allegedly grabbed and sexually assaulted. The man told her he had a weapon, but it was never produced.
The suspect is said to have run down Barrydale Crescent, while the girl continued on to school.
No arrests have been made.
The suspect is described as white, 19-22-years-old, 5'6 to 5'10, with a thin build, spiky black hair and a large nose. He was last seen wearing a plain, black, long−sleeved shirt, black silky pants and black shoes.
A letter was sent home to parents explaining what had happened to the girl.
A parent tells NewsTalk 1010 that the letter said that the girl ran to the school after the suspect had exposed himself to her. The school was put in lockdown until about 10 a.m.
