Spring arrives with flurries and clouds in the forecast

Welcome Spring...even though it may not feel much like it.

At 7:02 Wednesday morning, spring officially arrives, but instead of mild temperatures and some sunshine, the Toronto forecast is calling for possible flurries, clouds and highs below zero.

Senior climatologist with Environment Canada David Phillips says it's the same story right across the country whether it's snow or rain.

We are still in much better shape than our friends in Atlantic Canada.  Forecasters predict up to 25 centimetres of snow in parts of New Brunswick by Wednesday evening and 20 centimetres is expected in Nova Scotia. This is the same system that nailed Montreal with 26 centimetres of snow on Tuesday.

Last year on this day, Toronto was experiencing highs over 20 degrees.
