Police have carried out the third phase in their investigation into an illegal gambling ring that first came to the public eye when officers raided a Markham banquet hall on Super Bowl Sunday.

Officers with the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit carried out a series of raids today in the GTA and in the London area. They searched a Toronto bar and a couple of residences.

"This is the third and final phase," says Sgt Michele Paradis with the RCMP.

39-year-old Michael Kriaris and 43-year-old Augustino Valenzisi have been arrested and are facing charges.

They join 18 people who were arrested earlier in the investigation.

Police are still looking for 47-year-old Abraham Diles, 35-year-old Jeffrey Fuchs, and 41-year-old Hiesam Kadri.
