Giorgio Mammoliti claims to have unearthed conspiracy proof
Giorgio Mammoliti is offering up some of the proof that he's been targeted in "organized, integrated" attacks.
The city councillor first claimed he was the focus of a city hall conspiracy in January, suggesting the political left was behind it.
Wednesday, Mammoliti revealed some of the evidence gathered by a private investigation firm he has hired to back up his claims.
Executek International is doing the digging for Mammoliti. The firm is lead by former Deputy Chief of Toronto Police Kim Derry.
A menacing letter received by the councillor's office in December was the jumping off point for an investigation. Mammoliti says the letter explains that he's been followed for several months & that the author has access to the councillor's cell phone bills, suggesting they have an inside source at Rogers. The letter also warns Mammoliti to leave politics "before it's too late".
Mammoliti says his PIs also have proof that someone impersonated him to get his phone records from Rogers.
The councillor worries that all of City Hall's computer systems are vulnerable because Executek found evidence someone "poked into" Mammoliti's office files from the outside & copied them.
Mammoliti says his investigators are still trying to figure out how those files were used. He adds that they're looking into "how illegal some of this stuff actually is". Mammoliti says when they know more & have enough evidence, they will be going to the police.
