WATCH: Computer simulation shows how Algo Centre Mall collapsed
A new computer-generated simulation of the Algo Centre Mall collapse is featured in a brief video that explains of how the roof of the building gave way.
Constructed by forensic engineers, the simulation was part of evidence presented on Wednesday in Elliot Lake, at a public hearing into the tragedy.
It is part of a 700-page report that details possible reasons for the collapse and outlines the history of the building, and who made decisions that could have led to the mall's demise.
The inquiry has heard from structural engineers who oversaw construction of the Algo Centre Mall, a concrete slab supplier, the roof's installer, maintenence workers, and the mall's architect.
Two women died and several others were hurt when the mall's roof gave way last June.
