Wynne still plans to meet with Ford on subway
The premier is still waiting to meet with Mayor Rob Ford.
Kathleen Wynne tells Newstalk 1010 the two were supposed to sit-down this week but it didn't pan out. She says they're trying to reschedule.
Ford's office initially requested the meeting to talk about the Scarborough subway extension, which council voted for last week.
Wynne says Metrolinx and TTC experts are still looking at both the province's and city's preferred plan.
The difference: the city's plan would see the line extend up to Sheppard Ave, where the province's preferred option would stop at Scarborough Town Centre.
This would replace the Scarborough RT.
Wynne underlines the province is committed to building a subway in Scarborough. She says Ontario has always said they wanted the city's opinion on options.
