WATCH: PC asking for residents to push Liberals on subway
The Tories want residents to tell the Liberal government they want the city's version of a Scarborough subway extension.
PC MPP Doug Holyday continues to push the province on this ad the Tories set up an online petition for residents to show they want the plan which city council voted for last week.
The Liberals had been standing behind a plan which would go to Scarborough Town Centre from Kennedy Station. The City wants the extension to go all the way up to Sheppard Ave.
Premier Kathleen Wynne told Newstalk 1010 yesterday that she hasn't committed to a line configuration yet and is waiting to hear back from experts at Metrolinx and the TTC.
Holyday says transit expansion needs to happen quickly in the GTA before there's so much traffic on the roads, people won't be able to get around the city.
He said that would make Toronto unlivable.
