WATCH: Police Release New Photo in 4-year-old Hit and Run Case
Toronto police have marked the fourth anniversary of the death of a man who was run over on a downtown street by releasing a new image of the vehicle that killed him.
Police say Christopher Skinner, 27, got into an altercation with some people in a black SUV on Oct. 18, 2009 at Adelaide and Victoria streets.
They say Skinner was assaulted and knocked to the ground before the vehicle ran him over moments later.
His sister Taryn told reporters Friday that the family had hoped the case would be solved by now.
Police released a new image of the SUV captured on a surveillance camera.
There is a $50,000 police reward as well as a $100,000 reward from Skinner's family for information in the case.
Det.-Sgt. Stacy Gallant said that every time he speaks about the case tips come in. And he had a message for the suspects in the SUV that night.
``It's been four years. I still want to touch their hearts and come to them and say listen, you were in that car that night, come forward now.''
``It's been four years. We're still around and we're still investigating it - we're not going away,'' Gallant said.
