Bell Canada to track users' TV & web surfing habits
One of the nation's giant telecoms, Bell Canada says that as of November 16th it will track its customers TV viewing, calling patterns, mobile app usage, web surfing history, and even geographic location.
On its Privacy web page, Bell says the information would be used for select purposes; such as improving network performance, fraud detection, and to ensure that users see advertising which is more relevant to the individual.
The statement adds: "We will not share any information that identifies you personally outside of Bell Canada and its affiliates."
