Accused getaway driver in Anthony Smith killing allowed to leave Ontario
The next court date for the man charged with accessory after the fact in the killing of a man seen in pictures with Mayor Rob Ford will come on November 21.
23 year-old Hanad Mohamed faces three counts of accessory after the fact in connection with the March shooting death of 19 year-old Anthony Smith.
Smith was killed outside a nightclub on King St. in March that also injured Muhammad Khattak. Hanad Mohamed is accused of driving the getaway car after the shooting.
Smith, Khattak, and Monir Kassim were seen with Mayor Rob Ford in the now-infamous photo. Khattak and Kassim were arrested as part of Project Traveller, a guns and gangs bust in the west end of the city.
Mohamed's bail conditions were changed in court Tuesday to allow him to leave the province.
His lawyers are still waiting on a technical analysis of the evidence.
Earlier this year, 23 year-old Nisar Hashimi was sentenced to nine years in prison after he plead guilty to manslaughter in Smith's death. Hashimi had originally been charged with first degree murder.
