NDP presses Wynne to call for abolishing the Senate
Premier Kathleen Wynne continues to stand by her previous calls for senate reform.
However, she underlines that discussion needs to be led by Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
NDP House leader Gilles Bisson pressed the premier in question period to call to abolish the senate as her predecessor Dalton McGuinty did. Bisson stresses that even though Ottawa would lead the charge in this, any changes would have to be okayed by the provinces.
This comes as Mike Duffy and Pamela Wallin address Senate colleagues in Ottawa over expenses.
