Police looking for suspects in Toronto's latest murder
Toronto police are appealing for witnesses to a fight that began outside a downtown nightclub and ended with two young men left badly beaten on the sidewalk.
Det. Sgt. Pauline Gray says Danny La, 22, one of the victims in the Sept. 30 incident, died in hospital on Sunday, and his death is now being investigated as a homicide.
The cause of La's death was found to be multiple blunt force trauma to the head but Gray would not confirm earlier reports that the weapon involved was a baseball bat.
Gray says the second man, who is not being identified, remains in hospital.
Police are looking for four or five men believed to be the assailants in the attack, described by witnesses as Asian men aged 21 to 25.
Gray says police believe some of the assailants may also have been injured during the fight and they are asking people to think back to the day of the incident and anyone they know who may fit the assailants' description.
