Four stabbings around GTA this weekend
A violent weekend in and around the GTA has ended with a man being stabbed in the face.
Police say a man, who is around 30 years old, is recovering in hospital after being attacked with a knife.
It happened before six Sunday morning near Spadina and Eglinton.
"The victim was at a bus stop waiting for a bus to arrive to go to work," Det. Tim Jacobs tells Newstalk 1010.
According to Jacobs, the man was attacked after refusing to handover valuables. "The suspect assaulted and stabbed the victim in the head with a knife."
The suspect is described as a black male, around 5'10" with a thin build. He was wearing a light blue hooded sweater and dark khaki pants at the time of the attack.
This is the fourth stabbing so far this weekend in the Toronto area.
Two men were sent to hospital early Saturday after being stabbed in the city's downtown. Around the same time, a man in his 30s was stabbed multiple times in Newmarket. In that incident, police have a man in custody.
