This week, Councillor Josh Matlow is joined in studio by Councillor John Parker. In hour 1, they are joined by Councillor Joe Mihevc to discuss the possible dismissal of the TTC's Gary Webster, Councillor Ana Bailão on the sale of TCHC and handicapped parking in the city, Councillor Michelle Berardinetti on Webster, the TCHC, and Toronto's bag fee, and Councillor Anthony Perruzza to discuss transit and the labour settlement in Toronto.

Susan Cole why her magazine chose to publish the photo. The councillors also discuss the future of low income housing in Toronto, and speak with Councillor Ana Bailão on the issue.

February 12 2012 - Part 1

Councillor Matlow is joined in studio this week by Councillors Adam Vaughan and Chin Lee. The show is opeend with a brief commentary on the passing of Whitney Houston overnight, and her influence on music. The Councillors then move into an in-depth discussion on this week's transit decision, and are joined on the line by Councillor Mike Del Grande. A number of ideas and issues are addressed, and Councillor James Pasternak also calls into to offer his thoughts.

February 5 2012 - Part 2

In hour 2, Councillors Matlow, Parker, and Mihevc start by speaking with Deputy Mayor Councillor Doug Holiday about the success of the labour negotiations. Former chief of staff for Mayor Rob Ford, Nick Kouvalis joins in both to discuss the labour situation in the city, as well as the shift in focus now to the transit situation, and the hopes that plans will begin to be implemented. To close out the hour, Ombudsman Fiona Crean weighs in on the need for a Public Service Act in Toronto, followed by a quick rapid fire question and response exchange.

February 5 2012 - Part 1

In hour 1 of 'The City' this week, Councillor Josh Matlow is joined in studio by Councillors Joe Mihevc and Joe Parker. As heard first on Newstalk 1010 this morning, the city has reached a tentative deal with CUPE local 416 in the labour negotiations for the city's outside workers, and the Councillors spend the first hour discussing the process leading up to the agreement, and the aftermath. They also speak with leader of the city's library workers union, Maureen O'Reilly, to discuss the library budget battle.

This week's show was abridged due to breaking news coverage of the Shafia killings guilty verdict.

This hour 1 of this week's 'Mighty Middle' episode, Councillor Matlow is joined by Councillors Lindsay-Luby, Pasternak, and Lee to discuss the past week's events, and the effects the middle have had on the votes before Council. Topics discussed include saving several programs that were slated for cancellation, effects of the budget surplus on the TTC, and the city's debt. Councillor Matlow also proclaims that based on his polling of the 'Midd'e, Mayor Ford will not be able to pass his elimination of the Land Transfer Tax.

In hour 2, Councillors Matlow, Mammoliti, and Augimeri start by speaking with John Tory to get his thoughts of the budget, and whether further changes are necessary. They then speak with Mark Ferguson of CUPE 416 to talk about the labour negotiation process. To close the show they go 'rapid fire', talking about trimming council, a possible casino in Toronto, and the Ford's weigh-in on Monday, Jan 16 at 9:30 to 'Cut the Waist', to be carried live on Newstalk 1010.

January 15 2012 - Part 1

This week Councillor Josh Matlow is joined in studio by Councillor Maria Augimeri, and on the phone by Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti. In hour 1, the councillors discuss the latest in the 'Armegeddon budget', and what their hopes are for the upcoming year. Former Mayor David Crombie joins to contribute his thoughts, as well as discuss the city's pools, and his letter on the TCHC homes. City resident Susana Molinolo calls to mention her thoughts on the pools, and showing up at the executive meetin gin a wetsuit to demonstrate them. The councillors then discuss the cuts to the TTC, and the future of transit planning.

In hour one, they discuss the possibility of city worker lockouts, the city's info pillars, and the surplus being higher than expected. They are joined by Russ Ford at an ongoing press conference about the affects of budget cuts on the health of Torontonians, and Victoria Bartnett of the Stop the Cuts Network to discuss the demonstration at the Mayor's levee, and the upcoming event on January 17th.

The Mayor of Vaughan Maurizio Bevilacqua calls in to discuss his ideas for a new city motto. The in studio panel then discusses the licensing / safety requirements for cyclists in the city, parking illegally, the Sheppard Subway and Eglinton LRT, and try on a few different political hats.
