He released a statement on Friday in response to a story about a fundraising event that was held in Woodbridge on Wednesday night.
An invitation written by Giorgio's son Michael asks for people to help support his father - a dedicated supporter himself of Mayor Rob Ford.
It goes to say challenges the mayor have faced, have also taken their financial toll on Giorgio Mammoliti.
Michael Mammoliti asks for the invitees support for his father, so he can continue to fight the good fight.

Councillors Peter Milczyn and Jaye Robinson are also said to be involved."I don't think we can push the mayor. I've been saying for the last number of days that the mayor needs to address the people of Toronto," Councillor Milczyn said on Thursday.
The statement will be released some time on Friday.

The protest was originally scheduled to take place at noon outside of Rob Ford's home in Etobicoke, but it was then relocated outside our studios after there was objection to the group possibly harassing the the mayor's family. Early Friday morning, the same group posted a message on their website titled, "The action has been withdrawn."The message goes on to say that since new developments have emerged, they have had a change of plans. The Globe and Mail, the National Post, The Toronto Sun and the CBC have all independently sourced their stories and all have a similar tone. We don't know if they reached out to the same sources or not. It has not been established that the mayor has an addiction, either. Let us stress, NewsTalk 1010 has not independently verified these stories, nor has the Toronto Star been able to source out the information. The Sun says Towhey had been pushing Ford for a long time to deal with his "personal problems".
