Wine Review June 15 - Father's Day Rosé

Why would I suggest giving Pink Wine to dear old Dad on his day?  Well frankly I find it a little funny to think that Rosé would fit so perfectly when I think of Dad.  Many Ontario Rosé's have interesting labels like Girls Night Out, the Pelee Pink has a large flower on the label and Malivoire is well known for their Ladybug.  The reason is simple ... Rosé is the swiss army knife of wine and food pairings when it comes to the BBQ!  In spite of it's colour, you get a wine that is light and fruity but still weighty enough to pair well with a heavily seasoned steak.  Another reason, which I can't stress enough, is that wineries are making very good, very serious Rosé.  Many people still have the impression that Rosé is the sweet, cheaply made, hangover inducing beverage from the not so distant future.  ...
