First Question Period Oscar "Wynners"

Posted By: John Tory · 2/20/2013 5:48:00 PM

And the awards go to:

Best at sticking to the real issues: NDP Leader Andrea Horwath on jobs and the economy.

Best political strategy: PC Leader Tim Hudak for pushing the "Kathleen Wynne is Dalton McGuinty" line without much pushback.

Best attack dog (by acclamation): Lisa McLeod

Kathleen Wynne review on day one: She was competent and comfortable. She needs better answers on differences from McGuinty and on power plants.

One down, endless Question Periods to go.

Now here is a great solution for the proposed immigration legislation!!!

Putin's Short Speech 2/4/13 RE: Immigration

Have we anything in common with Putin/Russia? We could sure take a lesson on Immigration.

On February 4th, 2013, Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, addressed the Duma, (Russian Parliament), and gave a speech about the tensions with minorities in Russia:

"In Russia, live Russian. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws. If they prefer Shari ‘a Law, then we advise them to go to those places where that's the state law.

“Russia does not need minorities. Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell 'discrimination'.

“We better learn from the suicides of America, England, Holland and France, if we are to survive as a nation. The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of most minorities.
When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the national interest first, observing that the minorities are not Russians.”

The politicians in the Duma gave Putin a standing ovation for five minutes.

Now, just ask yourselves, Why on earth would our government continuously give preferential treatment to minorities, illegal immigrants, let alone those at war with the United States?
Why all the sympathy for Islam?
    Why?

    We’d better wake up!

@Gerry Gilmour What Canadians have to wake up to is the root cause of why people become terrorist.. If you keep preaching war how can you expect PEACE,... you have to preach Peace to get Peace..
We must also notice that the wars of the pass the way The US in particular go into other peoples countries and do what they want. Countries like Grenada, Iraq. Somolia. and a host of a other nations.. They walked into some nations and boast of weapons of Mass destruction... They know where these are. then they Mascara Men,Women and Children... of these nations with their war mongering .......Now when these deeds start following them back home they are running crying the Terrorist the terrorist..........the terrorist.... Canada we are begging you please our nation was always a peaceful nation do not follow the US in their war mongering.... Please bring back the Liberal Government to make sure that the world see us only as Peace Keeping.. Let HARPER take his war mongering ways over with the US and leave Canadians alone so we can remain peaceful... Chretien stood up and said no to war But HARPER cannot do that he will pander over bear..THERE..

I heard on 1010 today that you and a friend go to Leafs cup games dressed as Abe Lincoln and Col. Saunders ? Figures. You've always been a yankee-wanna-be, and, I've never liked you for that.

I heard that you, John, were a conservative talk show host and decided to listen in. It became quickly evident that you “out-left the left” in your views. Case in point: Describing a proposal to cut off government-sponsored educational funding to those who do not make the grade as “extreme”. John, that is a ludicrous label to use.

I am sure you have had individuals you have had to fire for lack of performance. Are you then extreme for having to fire someone? Or would it have been better to keep them working for you and hope they eventually do a good job? In fact, I would venture the people you fired actually benefited from the firing, improving their skills and work ethic to ensure success the next time. How is this different? Students who have funding cut because they are failing learn a tough but valuable lesson. Is that what you call extreme?

Sorry John – if you are what represents conservative thought, it is no wonder the left can getsaway with 600 million murders.
