To celebrate the download of their 25th billion app, Google will be slashing the price of a number of top Android apps down to 25 cents. The sale will take place over the next five days, with new apps being unveiled each day. I’ll be profiling what I think are the best 25 cent apps each day here on Planet of the Apps, so keep watch.
Angry Birds Space

By far the best of the Angry Bird sequels, Space gives the physics-based puzzle game the twist of introducing planets with varying gravity fields. The birds have some new super powers such as freezing, self-division, and pinpoint targeting. Add in a lesson on space physics from NASA and it’s not a game to miss.
Draw Something

iPhone/iPad - $2.99
On the off chance that you missed this all-consuming social game when it first came out, Draw Something let’s you connect with others online to take turns trying to draw pictures that match selected hint words. You draw, they try to guess the word, and then you switch. It doesn’t matter how much time passes between turns so you can pick it up and drop it throughout the day or week depending on when you have the time.
Granny Smith

She may not look it, but Granny is an action hero capable of fast chases and wild stunts. When a thief makes off with her apples she leaps to pursue. Your job is to help her jump, glide, swing, and crash through barriers as she stays on the heels of the rascally thief. Fantastic graphics and a wonderful sense of humour make this one of the best casual games to grab right now.

A slick, arcade racing game, Heat offers 60 different cars with top brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini across 15 tracks around the world. You can play solo or online with up to five friends. So many smartphones today feature large, high-resolution screens, this is an excellent way to make use of them.

From grocery lists to enterprise to-do lists, Tasks can create and sync your organizational lists across multiple Google accounts. There's widgets, due date reminders, and the option to sort by dealine.
Sudoku

1,500 puzzles across five different difficulty levels. There's hints and board aids if you need it, statistical tracking and time records if you don't. Desgned to work both on phones and tablets.
Office Suite Professional 6
Android - $0.25
Let's you view, edit, print, and share your documents. Supports Word, Excel, Powerpoit, and PDF files. A file browser is a nice feature and it's integrated with other cloud services including Box, DropBox, Google Drive, SkyDrive, and SugarSync.

A virtual potter's wheel, Let's Create uses the touchscreen and your fingertips to guide the shape of rotating clay into a vase of your own design. From the glaze and firing stages it does a surprisng job of capturing the real experience and delivering an activity that is quite fun. Give it a try, you'll see.

This interactive wallpaper for your Android phone offers a 3D underwater landscape where you can interact with the fish and discover the ocean's secrets.
Runtastic Pro
