More than one thousand apps have had their prices drastically slashed today and as maker prepare for the wave of new iPad owners that Christmas is sure to bring. Since Apple locks down the iTunes Store for the holidays, meaning app makers won't be able to make any changes, they are using today and tomorrow to compete for popularity in the sales charts by dropping prices.
