TIFF 2013: Stars to be photographed inside the IT Lounge
Mila Kunis, James Franco, Pierce Brosnan, and Olivia Wilde are among the stars who will be stopping by the IT Lounge this week during TIFF.
The stars will have their portrait taken by the super-talented local photographer, Caitlin Cronenberg (director David’s daughter).
The IT Lounge, run by Natasha Koifman’s PR firm, NKPR, is one of the several swag lounges getting cool Canadian products into the hands of the celebs in town.
I stopped by the lounge today to check it out.
First up, I got a chance to get my portrait taken by Caitlin. I asked her who she’s most looking forward to photographing during TIFF. Her answer: illustrator Ralph Steadman. She says he’s the one person who makes her feel like a fan girl… and she even brought a copy of Alice in Wonderland for him to sign!
Roots Canada also has a room set up in the IT Lounge. They’re celebrating their 40th anniversary. Roots has some Hollywood connections… back in 1980, Richard Gere wore Roots shoes in American Gigolo!
Tweezerman has brought in a whole range of tweezers to help keep the celebs’ brows in order. There are pink tweezers, purple tweezers, tweezers adorned with Swarovski crystals, and manly tweezers just for men! But at this station, I just love the poster they’ve set up showing the evolution of the brow:
I love funky socks. I love Christmas socks. I love Halloween socks. I love any sock with a fun theme or design. And the IT Lounge is offering the funkiest socks to spice up a wardrobe. The socks are made by YO SOX.
There is also, of course, a beauty corner full of Avon products. The newest product getting buzz is a new kind of mascara called Mega Effects. The brush bends back and forth, goes corner to corner and is supposed to provide an even coat. Check it out:
I chatted with Natasha about the lounge and about TIFF celebs and hotspots. Take a listen:
