NEWSTALK 1010 is a proud sponsor of the 2013 CIMA Mayor's Trophy School Cricket Tournament to be held in Brampton, Markham, Mississauga and Toronto during the week of May 13. The tournament aims to engage young, aspiring school cricketers and offers an opportunity to showcase their skills and passion for the sport of cricket. Played in more than 100 countries across the world, cricket is part of the cultural heritage of thousands of Torontonians. It is becoming increasingly popular with school-age children and youth across the city.

Four winning teams of the local championships of the 4 cities will compete in the finals on June 1 at Sunnybrook Park.  The winning team will receive the CIBC Trophy.

NEWSTALK 1010 hosts John Moore and John Tory will be participating in the Mayor’s Cricket Match on Saturday, June 22 at Sunnybrook Park with Mayor Rob Ford and Councillor Doug Ford.
