About this show
Ted is back on Newstalk 1010 every saturday with a brand new show from 11am - 3pm!

Ted started his radio career in 1974 at CHIC in Brampton. He moved on to work in Peterborough, Montreal, Hamilton, and finally, Toronto. Ted began hosting the Newstalk 1010 CFRB morning show in November of 1996, following in the footsteps of the legendary Wally Crouter. For 10 years Ted entertained and informed his listeners, keeping them up to date on political issues, current affairs, and lifestyle all with his trademark sense of humour. Ted's television credits include: hosting of Off the Wol, and It's Only rock'n Roll, along with numerous Red Carpet hosting duties for Canada's Walk of Fame. He has contributed to such programs as CBC's Mid Day, The Journal, CBLT News, Global TV, presentation of "The BMW Ultimate Challenge", and wrote for "The NHL Awards" on CBC for 9 years. He also appeared in the HBO John Candy , Eugene Levy tribute to the Schmenge Brothers entitled "The Last Polka" on HBO. Ted's recognizable and familiar voice has been heard on hundreds of radio commercials as well as several CBC "Life and Times" programs, the feature film "Bailey's Billions", and dozens of corporate videos. Ted's unique sense of humour stems from his days as a stand up comic, which earned him a Juno Award nomination for Best Comedy Album of the Year. Ted was also nominated for a Gemini Award for television writing, and an Actra nomination for Best Radio Interview. Ted's love of people truly goes beyond his word on the radio. He generously gives his time to support a number of charities. In 1997 he was named Lead Patron for The Toronto Children's Breakfast Club. Ted also served as Campaign Chairman for the United Way of Peel in 1997. He is an Honorary Big Brother as well as the recipient of a Volunteer Service Award from the Province of Ontario. He has also received the Bill Hancox Outstanding Community Service Award from the Toronto Police Services, the Volunteer Award of Appreciation from the charitable organization Reach for The Rainbow, and The Presidents Award from The Ukrainian Canadian Professional Business Association. Ted is Honourary Spokesman for the Dick Aldridge Pancreatic Cancer Research Foundation, and has twice been honoured as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club. In addition Ted is a member of the board of directors for the Ontario Legends of Sport Hall of Fame, and The Mississauga Twins Baseball Club.
