Olympic torch en route to Whistler

The Olympic is on its way toward Whistler - the host mountain for the Vancouver Winter Games.The torch relay traveled along the Sea to Sky Highway, which saw massive upgrades to prepare for the Games, and finished the day in the community of Squamish. The 106-day relay, which passed through every province and territory and travelled as far North as Alert, Nunavut, ends next Friday at the opening ceremonies in Vancouver.Large community celebrations are expected to cheer on the torch as the relay nears its final destination, arriving in the Lower Mainland next week and eventually Vancouver.
