Toronto Zoo Polar Bear is Prairie-Bound

Hudson, the 15-month-old polar bear is being transferred to the Assiniboine Park Zoo

A popular attraction at the Toronto Zoo is being shipped off to Winnipeg.

Hudson - the 15-month-old polar bear who nearly died shortly after he was born is being transferred to the Assiniboine Park Zoo.

The now 400 lb bear wasn't given much of a chance to survive when he was born.

Back then he weighed just a pound-and-a-half and his mother rejected him.

Hudson will be the first resident in the Winnipeg Zoo's International Polar Bear Conservation Centre.

He'll still be at the Toronto Zoo until January 27th.
