A recall affecting frozen beef burgers has been expanded.
The burgers are produced by Belmont Meats could be contaminated with E Coli.
The original recall was announced last week by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, and affected certain Compliments brand Super 8 Beef Burgers, now includes Super 6 Beef Burgers, President's Choice Beef Burgers and Weber's Bucket of Burgers.
Most of the packages affected would have a best before date of between February and May of 2014.
As of October 9th, seven confirmed and one suspect case of E. Coli have been reported in Ontario linked to the ongoing investigation of recalled beef burgers.
Ontarians are reminded to check their fridges and freezers for the recalled product and if any is found, it is recommended that it be discarded or returned to the retailer.
