Councillor Paul Ainslie says he is the victim of a robocall campaign.
The Scarborough councillor tweeted Friday night, "Mayor Rob Ford is robo-calling my residents this evening criticizing my LRT vs. subway stance."
Earlier this week, Ainslie led a motion to change Scarborough's transit plan back to an LRT, something both the mayor and councillor Doug Ford seemed blind-sided by.
After Ainslie moved his motion in support of an LRT, the mayor and his brother councillor Doug Ford blasted him, making mention of next year's election.
A vote in support of a subway passed narrowly, 24-20.
Ainslie and the mayor have been budding heads for a while, but the vote on the subway has caused the two to part ways.
On Friday, Ainslie left the mayor's executive council, saying he doesn't expect to be bullied about the way he votes.
Several people have called the NEWSTALK 1010 newsroom to say they have received the call.
The mayor's office has yet to comment on or confirm the calls.
Several councillors have reacted to the robocalls on Twitter.
