There are several charities across the GTA hoping that you will feel giving this Thanksgiving Day and help them reach their fall drive goals.
Hundreds of volunteers will be back at the Daily Bread Food Bank today, helping sort through the donations coming in.
There's less than one week left in their Thanksgiving Drive. The campaign ends this Friday, with a goal of raising $300,000 and collecting 200,000 pounds of food. So far, they have collected just under 80 per cent of that amount.
In terms of food, the food bank needs items like pasta, canned food, peanut butter, powdered milk, tomato sauce, baby food and formula, and rice. You can drop off donations at fire halls and some grocery stores.
The Scott Mission on Spadina Ave is asking you to donate anywhere from $4.25 for one Thanksgiving dinner, to $247 for 10 bags of groceries.
The North York Harvest Food Bank has a Fall Food Drive that runs until October 18th. They're hoping to raise $100,000 and 100,000 lbs of healthy food.
