On any given day, the Good Shepherd at Queen and Parliament serves about 1,200 meals a day but on Thanksgiving, their ovens are working overtime.
They've served 160 birds - 110 of which were donated thanks to a Twitter campaign.
Add to that 130-litres of gravy, 40 kilograms of cranberry sauce, 816 kilograms of potatoes, 240 kilograms vegetables and 220 kilograms of stuffing - from scratch and 275 apple pies.
It's an epic meal and it requires quite a bit of work. "Our kitchen staff have been preparing the dinner for about two weeks," says spokesperson Adrienne Urquhart.
She says it wouldn't be possible without the hard working volunteers she says. "Many of our volunteers came at 10:30 in the morning, to set the tables and cut the pie but amazingly enough a lot of them showed up early and we were done setup very quickly."
On Monday, the centre has 54 volunteers serving up 1,600 Thanksgiving meals.
