Mayor Rob Ford says the coming mayoral race will be a "bloodbath."
He spoke to reporters about the 2014 election after giving them a tour of his office decorated as a haunted house.
"Drop the puck and let's start playing this game," mayor Ford said. "You better keep your head up and make sure your chin straps are done up pretty tight."
Ford says he's ready for whatever issues come up during the campaign.
"Bring up everything, whatever you guys have covered in the last few years," he says. "I've got a great track record... Taxes are lower than ever before. Jobs. We're doing great."
The mayor wouldn't comment directly on one of his challengers, TTC chair Karen Stintz.
"I won't even get into it until we have the debates," he says.
He added that he welcomes everyone to enter the race, and stay in it.
"The more people the merrier."
