Three Peel police officers and the region's police board are being sued.
A lawsuit has been filed over the tasering of an 80-year-old woman with dementia.
Iole Pasquale fell and broke her hip after she was tasered twice in August, when she refused to drop a knife.
The Toronto Star reports that her daughter Angela Pasquale filed the suit, looking for $250,000 dollars in damages for herself and $1.1-million for her mom.
She claims police concealed information from her about what happened that day and that the police board failed in its duty to properly train officers in dealing with mental health and seniors' issues.
The province's special investigation unit cleared the officers of any wrongdoing.
