Elderly woman dies in east end house fire

Woman in her 80's pulled from the home on Friday morning...

A woman is dead folllowing a house fire in Toronto's east end on Friday morning.

Flames were first spotted around the back of the home near O'Connor Drive and St Clair Avenue around 7 o'clock.

The woman was pulled from the home and paramedics attempted to revive her at the scene.

She was later pronounced dead in hospital.

Her name hasn't been released, but we do know that she is a woman in her 80's.

A firefighter also suffered minor injuries.

There's no word on what sparked the fire.
